Poll!

I've started becoming more active in extracurricular at school and I recently started writing for our newspaper, so between all my other activities and now my new official writing, I probably won't have as much time to write on the blog, although I will try to keep updating at least somewhat regularly.

Also, here's a poll where I'd like to hear specifically from professionals who have been to grad school:

When applying to summer research programs, if they ask for two recommendation letters, but you're worried that your old boss might write something negative because he didn't like you so much, should you send three letters, or could that hurt you? What if you know that the other two people will write great letters, but you feel you need one from your old boss, so you just include all three and hope that his doesn't hurt your chances? Will the admissions people like that, or dismiss you as someone who can't follow rules?

Team Edward!

Vote here for Team Edward or Team Jacob! Of course I'm Team Edward. I mean, yes, Jacob is incredibly hot (literally and figuratively) and passionate and protective and sweet and respectful of Bella's desire to be with Edward, but Edward is...Edward. Sorry. It's just that simple. He's Edward. Yes, he can be overprotective, yes, he can be a bit controlling, yes he is dead, cold, emo, and sparkling, but....he's Edward. So he wins. I do love Jacob though, and I'm glad he's still in Bella's life and will be in Renesmee's life too, I just don't think Bella was the woman for him. But have I mentioned how hot Jacob is? The Jacob in my head after reading the books was really hot, so it was disappointing to watch Twilight and be like, "Oh, he's not that hot, thanks for ruining Jacob" but so far it looks like New Moon is going to be just right in terms of Jacob looking incredible :)
Who are you voting for?

Thanks for the site tip, A :)

Some Fun on the Train

I never realized visiting my grandmother could be quite so sexy.

Let me explain: I took the train uneventfully to visit Grandma today. I stayed for a while, ate some cake that she baked for me, took a walk with her, chatted with some neighbors, the usual. Then I met up with a yeshivish friend from seminary who lives in the neighborhood and we had a good time catching up. All went uneventfully.
Then I got on the train to go home. Not uneventfully. The train was packed, so I was standing, and there was this stranger with an incredibly sexy face sitting right across from me, checking me out. So when he looked away for a second, I checked him out. Then I looked away, and he checked me out again. Then I checked him out, but didn't wait long enough, so our eyes met. He looked away, I checked him out, then I looked away, and he started checking me out again. This went on for the entire train ride. FYI: the ride is almost an hour long. I kid you not. We did this for an hour. He got off at my stop too, but I think he must have been transferring trains, because he didn't head for the exit. And yes, I turned around for one last look. And yes, he was turned around looking after me.
Very very very hot.
